| The South Island
of New Zealand is a true scenic wonderland. It is also very
compact. Most destinations are reached in flights of around
one hour. Some would take a days driving to get to and some
you cannot drive to. This means you will have time for really
exploring places on the ground, and generally having a holiday.
Or taking part in exciting adventure tourism opportunities
available here, such as jetboating, white water rafting, bungy
jumping and hiking.
Each days flying will be unique. Routes include flights
over mountains, glaciers, lakes, beaches, rolling hills and
farmland. All in a short space of time! From the dry semi
desert of parts of Otago to the rain forest of the west coast
in less than 100 miles.
Destinations include the resorts of Queenstown and Wanaka.
Also Mt Cook and the world famous Milford Sound. At Milford
you can take a walk to the Bowen falls and really soak up the atmosphere of this amazing landscape. On Stewart
Island you can see native birds in their natural habitat.
The city of Dunedin is a centre of culture, education, and
history. Christchurch is modern and alive with action, but
nearby lies beatifull scenery, farmland, and the marine observation
area at Kaikoura. A great place to watch whales in thier natural
habitat.
In places such as Stewart
Island and the West Coast you will be able to land on
remote beaches, and enjoy exploring or a pinic lunch. Visit
other sheep station airstrips.
The Wanaka and Queenstown area has plenty to offer: resturants,
shops and vineyards with open wineries and vineyard tours.
There are four major lakes and four ski fields. This is all
within 100 km of your base at Geordie Hill.
Otago has a rich history. Gold was the major influence on
the economy prior to the turn of the century. Interesting
relics, towns and buildings from those gold rush days abound.
We include some great places to stay in our itineraries.

a fresh style of hospitality and optional activities, so you
